A non-profit organization whose members are healthcare professionals who are associated with respiratory care is what the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) in the United States all about. The organization became operational in the year 1943 with the name Inhalation Technician Association which later underwent evolution and came to be known as AARC today. Many leading international and national respiratory care professionals are part of this association that works for promoting excellence in the field and acts as the advocate of respiratory therapists, patients, their families, and the public at large.
