Established in the year 1859, American Dental Association (ADA) is a professional association comprising American members who work in the US dental industry including dentists, and other professionals. Any individual willing to become a dentist or practice in any specialty within the field of dentistry has to be accredited or licensed by the ADA. All the dental schools and colleges also come under its administrative boundary and are under its constant scrutiny. Being one of the oldest and world’s largest dental associations, ADA works towards promoting the healthy oral life of the American population at large.
