All the support services except medical and nursing services, board and room that support the work of primary physicians are referred to as Ancillary Care Services. Such services include:
- Diagnostic services – laboratory tests, diagnostic imaging, and radiology
- Therapeutic services – physical and occupational therapy, speech therapy, and chiropractic services
- Custodial services – long-term acute care, urgent care, nursing facilities etc.
