Blood banks collect blood from across the globe. These centers act as the point of contact for all those who require blood for the patient it can be the patient’s family or the hospital they are admitted to. The need for blood arises due to medical reasons such as for patients who lose a lot of blood during a surgical procedure and for treatment of diseases as well. In a blood bank, different departments work day and night to be able to respond to the quick demand for blood in emergencies. The blood bank stores all types of blood group. One may directly go to a blood bank and donate and can also donate via NGOs, health camps, and charity events which put up donation camps and collects blood to give it to blood banks.
