A chiropractor is a medical professional who is trained and specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the musculoskeletal system. These specialists acquire education and training in the field of chiropractic, a branch of medicine that deals with the study, diagnosis, and treatment of mechanical disorders of the neuromuscular system. Their major role is to offer non-surgical therapies to patients to help them get rid of lower back pain, neck pain, headache, sports injuries, arthritic pains, etc. They mainly use manual therapy which includes spinal manipulation therapy (SMT) that helps manipulate soft tissues and joints and cures pain. Chiropractors also educate patients on treatments and exercises that they can follow to deal with the pain.
