A computer-based patient record (CPR) is a system that stores patient information in a digital format for easy sharing among other authorized healthcare providers and healthcare organization. This shared electronic data helps in the on-time delivery of care facilities to patients and improves the operational efficiency of the service providers. There are a wide variety of medical data stored in a CPR which includes:

  • Patient’s medical history
  • Medication and treatment plans
  • Laboratory and test results
  • Radiology images
  • And other valuable health-related information

All these data are required to make informed decisions by the physicians, doctors, nurses, and other medical professionals.
