The health maintenance organization is a medical insurance group who offers managed care services for a fixed annual fee. HMO provides services for individuals, health insurance, self-funded healthcare plans, and others. It acts as a medium between the service receiver and various healthcare providers including physicians, hospitals, etc. Doctors and other specialists who are in contract with the HMO in compliance with its policies and terms can only render care services
