A provider in the healthcare industry refers to a professional or a company providing healthcare services to people in need. In most of the cases, a physician is considered as a provider as they directly provide care to patients. However, healthcare professionals like nurses, therapists, chiropractors, facility centers such as hospitals, clinics, and others are considered to be a healthcare provider as they also offer healthcare services.
